Public Opinion: Life Magazine and Seattle Post-Intelligence
These photographs are of articles written between 1976-1991. They provide an insight into the public opinion on the Marine Resources Company. As the articles describe, the public was interested in the exisetence of an economic partnership between the capitalist United States and the communist Soviet Union.
These articles show how the MRC sculpted public opinion of the Soviet Union. Life Magazine depicts the daily life of those who worked for the MRC. The reader is able to see that there aren't many differences between the Americans and Soviets outside of language. Furthermore, the reader is able to see commonalities between the Americans and the Soviets, which makes the Soviet Union not seem as far removed.
